Founded in December 2019, By Jessica Morris is a beauty academy based in Derby, UK, specialising in Builder Gel nail treatments, alongside Acrylic nail extensions.

Our mission is to help every aspiring nail technician enter the best industry of them all through my beginners nail courses, as well as helping existing nail techs, build their confidence and amp up their skills through my 1-1 nail lessons.

I have been a full time, self employed nail technician for over 5 years, and put my absolute ALL into my business. Beauty is beyond my passion, and I have been in love with the beauty industry since working in it from 2016.

I am always learning, educating and looking for new ways and techniques to further better my skills to produce the best work possible for my clients and students.

The Story

I started out working part time on a makeup counter - MAC Cosmetics whilst studying a Journalism degree at University. This is where I first entered the beauty industry and my passion for the art of makeup truly began, and I knew instantly that I wanted to pursue makeup artistry further.

From here, I graduated University, and became a freelance makeup artist, painting any beautiful face that I could get my hands on, alongside travelling the globe as a full time air-hostess. Back in November 2019, once I had got the travel bug out of my system, I joined a team at a beautiful beauty salon and decided to bite the bullet and go full time as a makeup artist, and this is where By Jessica Morris truly began.

After demand for makeup application appointments grew at a rapid rate, where I was fully booked week in week out, I knew I could make something more of my business, that the girl studying a degree at University could have ever dreamed of.

I trained in Acrylic nail extensions and Gel Polish nails, to add more treatments to my ever growing business, and the passion and love for nails, alike makeup, was instant. Since then, I have further trained in E-file and Builder Gel nails and become an Educator. I have set up my own home studio, where I run a fully booked nail diary and teach my sought after Beginners Nail courses and 1-1 Nail Lessons.

My Mission

By Jessica Morris completely changed my life, the way I see, think about and value work and my career. After feeling lost for so long career wise, and not knowing what direction life was going to take me, I am now on a mission to give every aspiring nail tech the best head start and gain their accreditation and qualification, so that they themselves can discover the endless possibility, growth and potential in the best industry of them all.

I aim to help people truly find their passion, make their fortune, build their own business and most importantly take control of their lives and their future by becoming their own BOSS through my Beginners nail courses!
