What were you doing before training?
I’ve always worked full time while in both college and university. When I made the decision to train in nails I was working on the bar at a go karting company as well as studying full time at university.
What inspired you to be Nail Technician?
A lot of nail art pictures started coming up on my feed and it really made me think why can’t I do this? It seemed to be something I was really interested in and something i would enjoy doing. I was unhappy in my job and thought that hopefully nails could change that for me.
What was holding you back from training?
The risk of training and purchasing everything I needed and then not enjoying it as much as I thought I would. I doubted whether I would be good enough to get any clients and build a strong business.
Why did you chose to train with By Jessica Morris?
I was OBSESSED with Jessica’s nail page years before I even started thinking about training. Her page was the first I followed purely for nail content. The main thing that stood out to me was the crisp square shape she could achieve on her clients and I wanted to be able to do nails like that myself! The training offered seemed really in depth and the support you received after stood out compared to other nail courses.
What was training like for you?
I really enjoyed all 3 of the training days I did with Jess. They were ran 2-1 and I found this so helpful as it was easier to focus and practice with it only being me and one other person. Jessica was lovely and explained everything so in depth, even sharing her own personal tips and tricks which were a big help. The kit supplied was perfect and included everything needed to do a full set of gel polish/builder gel. The best thing about training at Jessica Morris is the graduate group chat which you are added to after training. It is so helpful having people in the same boat as you who can offer support and answer any questions when you are struggling with anything in the nail world.
Where you are now?
I am currently self-employed doing nails full time in an established salon. Im still building my clientele but I often experience weeks where I am full booked which is unbelievable to me still. I enjoy going to work everyday and I couldn’t imagine doing anything else now.
What have you achieved or are most proud of since qualifying?
I am most proud of how fast I have grown on social media since starting my nail journey. Having big companies like nail order, brillbird etc like, share and comment on my nail posts seems so surreal.
What are your Plans for the future?
I can’t wait to delve deeper into the nail world and get my business name out there. I would love to be able to be recognised as a big name in the nail world and to work with some of the big nail brands. Someday I would love to be able to offer nail art masterclasses to fellow nail techs.

Training with Jess was by far the best decision I made and has set me up in such a good stead for my nail career. I chose the ultimate one day course and although it was a little more money, I got her undivided time and attention to allow me to really develop and learn everything that I needed to. No question was too big or too small for Jess. She made me feel so welcome and at ease and I left feeling ready to start 🫶🏻 Jess provided me with absolutely everything I needed in my kit, including a helpful guide which I still look back at now if I’m stuck! I was put into the graduates whastapp group and am able to ask Jess and the girls for any tips, tricks and advice whenever I need it. I couldn’t recommend Jess and her courses enough!

I trained with Jessica back in August for gel polish and builder gel and it was the best decision I have ever made! The kit was perfect and had everything I needed to start out. Jessica is so so lovely and the way she teaches the course is perfect! The demonstrations really help with understanding the process. I honestly can’t thank Jess enough as just 5 months later, I am a full time self employed nail tech working in a busy recognised beauty salon!
