What were you doing before training?
Before I trained, I was a primary school teacher working part time in the classroom.
What inspired you to be Nail Technician?
I wanted to train to become a nail tech because I loved getting my own nails done regularly and knew it would be something I’d enjoy.
What was holding you back from training?
I was nervous to take the plunge and put off training for a while because I didn’t believe in myself and kept talking myself out of it. I also found it quite hard to find a course that felt ‘right’. However as soon as I found Jessica Morris’ Instagram account and saw the feedback from previous students as well as the quality of the nails they were producing, I knew it was the course for me!
Why did you chose to train with By Jessica Morris?
What was training like for you?
Jessica instantly made me feel so welcome. There was only myself and one other student so I was able to ask all of the questions without feeling silly, she explained things really clearly, provided useful booklets to take home and offered great tips and tricks throughout the training.
Where you are now?
Now, I still work part-time as a teacher but I also work three days a week as a nail tech, which I absolutely love!
What have you achieved or are most proud of since qualifying?
I’m so proud that I completed the training and pushed myself out of my comfort zone as it has meant I’ve not only built my own business. I’ve also built up an amazing client base, which keeps me fully booked each month and I’ve built my dream nail salon in my garden. What a difference a year makes!

I trained with Jessica back in August for gel polish and builder gel and it was the best decision I have ever made! The kit was perfect and had everything I needed to start out. Jessica is so so lovely and the way she teaches the course is perfect! The demonstrations really help with understanding the process. I honestly can’t thank Jess enough as just 5 months later, I am a full time self employed nail tech working in a busy recognised beauty salon!

I was already previously trained by someone else and came to Jess for a bit more knowledge and to help get more confident and quicker in my work. Jess is lovely and so full of knowledge. Helped me pick up my speed with doing infills and taught me tips and tricks I wasn’t taught in my original training. Definitely worth doing as an extra bit of training to get your confidence up 💖

Training with Jess was by far the best decision I made and has set me up in such a good stead for my nail career. I chose the ultimate one day course and although it was a little more money, I got her undivided time and attention to allow me to really develop and learn everything that I needed to. No question was too big or too small for Jess. She made me feel so welcome and at ease and I left feeling ready to start 🫶🏻 Jess provided me with absolutely everything I needed in my kit, including a helpful guide which I still look back at now if I’m stuck! I was put into the graduates whastapp group and am able to ask Jess and the girls for any tips, tricks and advice whenever I need it. I couldn’t recommend Jess and her courses enough!
